One would often hear parents asking their\nchildren to focus on their studies rather than anything else. My parents felt\nthe same thing too. Along with my graduation, they were okay with me picking up\nany computer course that was aligned to the graduation stream I was\nstudying. But Foreign Language was not\nin their wildest imaginations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
What, Why, Where, When, Who and How, all\nour learning friends were fired at me. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This time I was prepared with my research.\nThanks to the Foreign Language Training\nInstitute<\/a> that had conducted an awareness session just the day before. <\/p>\n\n\n\n I gathered my family in our hall and began\nmy talk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cMy dear family let me begin with the benefits\npart of my hobby first.\u201d And everyone frowned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n My father yelled, \u201cNow that you are grown\nup, you still are thinking hobby first? What will I do with this nut? <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cDad, please let me finish!\u201d I somehow got\nhim back in his seat. <\/p>\n\n\n\n I enquired, \u201cLearning a foreign language is\nlike facing the unknown. And unknown is always fearful. Am I right?\u201d \u201cWhat if I told you all that this hobby of\nmine is going to increase my self-confidence? <\/p>\n\n\n\n Now everyone had a big question mark on\ntheir face. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
